Asos once again has one of their (up to) 70% Sales and there are quite a few amazing pieces. 1 or 2 of which have once again made me break my no more spending on clothes for the rest of the month promise once again, after the recent Anna Scholz Sale.
Empty Bank Account But Feeling Fabulous! 😉
I just wanted share some of my favourite pieces with you, basically those pieces that I would get if I had a bank account that never ran dry.
Ultimately though we might all end up with an empty bank account, but with a wardrobe full of beautiful asos plus size dresses and a big smile on our faces feeling fabulous in our new clothes. 🙂
A neat feature that I have been using a lot over the last few months. More retailers should implement programs like this, particularly if it is at such a reasonable price (I am looking at YOU Amazon!).
As much as I like Anna’s creations, unless she does a cooperation with a high street retailer like recently with Simply Be in the UK and sheego in Germany. So, when I saw the below status about the current sale on Facebook, it really caught my attention.
While I am overall still quite new in the whole plus size blogging szene I can say I have seen by now quite a few runway shows and this one was by far the most impressive so far…
While I had been a bit disappointed by the PSFdays marketplace, compared to British events, the fashion show was really something else here. Not only was it in the most glamorous setting I have seen so far it was also the best choreographed, varied and planned out fashion show I have seen so far, if anything, a bit long.
The Show Before The Show
The show began long before the actual runway show. So many women had an amazing effort and come in absolutely stunning outfits. I love it that the event had a little red carpet area in which a team of photographers immortalised all of those stunning looks.
I have left Germany about 5 years ago and the state of plus-size fashion really was not great at that time. So it was even more amazing to see how far plus-size fashion has come in Germany in this time.
She led through the evening supported by Eric Schroth. The two did a good job of leading through the evening and I loved how the two looked together.
During the show I even got mentioned during the show, as one of the international guests, although the got slightly wrong where I am from, they might have said I am from London instead of Manchester, but I will forgive them…
The Runway Show
Ther was everything in the beautiful fashion show, from plus-size workwear, over plus-size evening wear, some plus-size lingerie and even a few great causal pieces for lounging about at home in style. I will spare you from going through each designer, label and piece separately. I very much prefer to share a few impressions and show you some of my personal highlights.
I would encourage you though to have a nosey on the websites of the labels yourself having a bit of a closer look round. There is a lot to discover.
During the show I actually lost count how many labels participated. The show consisted of a varied mix of local boutiques, international retailers and a few independent Designers.
Most likely I actually forgot 2-3 but I will update this list over the next days in case I did. In case you notice I did, just let me know in the comments 🙂
A Few Highlights…
While I loved seeing the variety, there were a few things that stood out to me:
Miss Molly – Online Underwear
Plus-Size, Germany and beautiful underwear: 3 things that still don’t appear to go much together. When I left Germany 5 years ago it seemed basically impossible to find a bra in my size, online or offline.
While we were a bit disappointed that there was no dessous retailer at the market place, it was nice to at least see a few beautiful and actually also sexy pieces in the runway show, thanks to Miss Molly. Although the website does need a makeover…
Dagmar Gräf – Plus-Size Trousers
At the market place I ended up in a conversation next to a clothing rail full of lots of varied and fashionable plus-size trousers. The conversation was about the fact that on blogs as well as events one does not really see many trousers.
We wondered if this was due to the women or due to the lack of trousers. Looking back at catalogues and the offerings online, what you usually see there is leggings, jeggings, office trousers and the occasional office trousers, if you ignore track suit and pyjama bottoms. There is definately a lack of fashionable trousers.
I am happy that Dagmar Gräf is planning to change this. Looking at the collection I can say that I would happily wear almost every single piece of what I have seen of the collection. Unfortunatelly we will have to wait till January till these beauties will hit the market.
Adam Brody – Timeless Yet Innovative Glamour
I loved seeing Adam Brody‘s pieces. While most of the fashion will most likely be far out of my price range I loved almost every single piece of them. Not only that, they had this timeless feel to them that their style might last you a lifetime and from the look of it (keeping in mind this was judged from a distance), it appeared that these lovely pieces might actually have the quality to match it.
Was fascinated me about Adam Brody was that while his fashion appeared timeless and classic on the one hand each piece had an unique innovative style about it. Well let’s stop here. I start sounding like a pretentious, overpriced fashion magazine. I rather let the picture speak.
These earrings are a unique pair of gold earrings, that send an important body positive message, and that in style. These beauties are from Missguided and they can be found here on their website.
As I have also mentioned in my latest post, Missguided are, to my surprise, more and more turning into one of my favourite places for jewellery
I would strongly recommend to have a look round their jewellery section, I can almost guarantee you will find something amazing, particularly in the necklace section, there are some stunning statement pieces in there.
“Flawless” Earring Giveaway
Missguided have been so friendly to provide me with a pair of these earrings to share the love and body positivity with you.
So I have decided to kick off my little series of giveaways to celebrate my nomination to the British Plus Size Awards with this lovely pair of earrings.

This weekend I had an absolute amazing time at one of my first big plus-size blogger events: Plus North. It was a really fun, fashion & plus-size filled weekend which involved meeting lot’s of amazing ladies.
The Plus-Size Runway Shows
One of the big highlights were definitely the fashion shows in which Ann Harvey, Yours Clothing, Topsy Curvy, Simply Be, Curvissa, So Fabulous and Evans were showing a selection of their key pieces on some very fabulous plus-north visitors and plus-size blogger babes. It was absolutely amazing to see so many confident women showing off how comfortable felt in their bodies and showing off their confidence and love for themselves, an absolutely inspiring event!
Some of the fabulous bloggers on the runway
All the brands that were showing off their newest trends in the runway shows also had little stalls at this event where we had a chance to check out their upcoming Autumn – Winter Collection up close and I have to say, I already have a by far too long wish-list.
Although some of the real gems of the stalls were actually those that had not been part of the shows.
Curvy Kate had brought some of their amazing & sexy bras with her and conducted tons of bra fittings and delivering some amazing uplifts. Chunky Cat Cuddler showed off some great and imaginative jewellery. I also finally saw Nicky RocketsT-Shirts up close.

Here I also learned about a new and interesting way of how to buy high class beauty products: Cohorted. They are offering each week 4 different products, the kind of product you would like to treat yourself to but might be just a bit out of your budget, to bring them to you cheaper due to the power of group buying.
Keep checking back I will give you a closer look at some of the exhibitors and their products over the next weeks, especially of those I could not resist and now call my own.
Showing Off My Little Makeover
Plus-North was a great opportunity for me to show off my style, my new hair and outfit. Before coming to the event I had basically gone through a whole little makeover.
I had my beloved Bettie Page fringe re-trimmed by Nicky from “Having A Hairmare?“. The benefit brow bar had taken care of my eyebrows . I had a complete home made hair colour makeover. If you follow me on twitter of facebook you might have already seen that I recently had a relatively extreme hair colour makeover thanks to some ebay ordered peroxide and Bleach London’sTangerine Dream. And lastly I had a completely new outfit, which I had ordered specifically for plus-north using their next day delivery.
Finally meeting all those lovely ladies
But ultimately the best thing about plus north was to finally meet so many amazing & lovely blogger ladies, that are so often on my screen, finally in real life. Obviously there was no way around to take some of those obligatory selfies:
Have you been to Plus North? What was your favourite of the day? What other blogger events have you been to? Are there any other blogger events you would recommend to me and would say I should not miss? Please let me know in the comments. I would love to hear from you!
Usually I am not the one to shout about reductions, so many were happening recently. In this case however, there are a few real bargains and I had to work hard on controlling myself not to go on a giant spree. So I thought this one would probably be quite interesting to you.
Sale items are reduced up to 75% and with the extra 15%, there are quite a few great bargains available. In fact also the jumpsuit I have written about in an earlier post is available in this offer:
At full price this plus-size jumpsuit was £22.99. With the discount and using the code, you can get it now at £13.60, which really is an amazing bargain.
What’s In The Sale
As it was to expect most items are summer lines, but there are also some great transitional pieces amongst them. Also most of these summer pieces will be great to see you through autumn and maybe even winter if you mix up the combination a bit, for example with a leggings, a cardigan or maybe even Wingz. In case you have not heard about them yet, Wingz are separate sleeves that you can wear under a sleeveless top, giving you a bit of extra coverage and great for turning a summer dress into a lovely autumn dress.
My Sale Wish List
There are actually a lot of great items available within this sale that I had my eye on for a while. The truth is unfortunately though, neither my wallet nor my wardrobe space is infinite. But one can dream…. and so I put the below wish list together.
As mentioned above, neither my wardrobe space nor my wallet are infinite and I actually had promised myself not to buy any further clothes till next payday. However, looking at the choice available I at least wanted to try a few pieces on. And so I ended up ordering the 3 lovely items below. The plan is to keep only the 1-2 items I like the most. However, I know myself… f I like them on myself it will be very unlikely that one of them is actually going to get sent back.
What is your favourite? Have you made use of this offer and if, what have you bought? Or are there maybe any other great deals out there we don’t know yet about… Leave me a comment, I would love to hear from you!
